For the first time in its history, RC Vannes, just promoted to the Top 14, will taste the joys of the European scene next season. And since Tuesday, July 2, the Bretons know more about what awaits them. The draw for the groups of the “small” European Cup was made this afternoon, in Cardiff (Wales).

Jean-Noël Spitzer’s men were drawn very quickly, since the RCV ball came out in 3rd position. The Bretons were placed in pool 3, composed of the Georgians of Black Lion, a guest club this season, Aviron Bayonnais, the Welsh of Scarlets (twice semi-finalists of the Champions Cup), the Scots of Edinburgh Rugby and the English of Gloucester (twice winners of the European Challenge in 2006 and 2015).
On the other hand, there are no South African clubs in the Morbihannais group, nor the Italian club Zebre Parma.
