Who will succeed the Sharks and win the Challenge Cup? The answer will be in several months, but while the season has just ended, we already know the groups for the 2024-2025 edition. RC Vannes, promoted to the Top 14, will discover this competition.
A historic first for RC Vannes. The Breton club, promoted to the Top 14 for the first time in its history, will discover the Challenge Cup for the 2024 – 2025 season. RCV finds itself in group 3 (Black Lion, Bayonne rowing, Scarlets, Edinburgh and Gloucester).
The other four French clubs are divided into two different groups. Thus, Perpignan et Lyon are in group 1 and Montpellier et Pau in group 2. As a reminder, the French clubs will not face each other in the preliminary phase, but will play the four other teams in the group.
Like last season, the Cheetahs and the Black Lion are the two clubs invited to participate in this Challenge Cup. The grand final will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025
