Les Flammes, a ceremony rewarding urban musical culture, is back. A few hours before the second edition on W9, a look back at the first edition launched last year.
On May 11, 2023, the media Yard and Booska-P launched a new musical ceremony to reward artists who are part of the rap/R&B musical genre and more broadly, urban culture. And they did it big.
The organizers have set up 21 categories judged by a jury made up of 23 industry professionals. The jury chose the artists present in the different categories. But the public also participates at 50% for the final vote, the votes take place thanks to an application.

Seen as the competing ceremony to Music Victoriesoften criticized for its lack of representation of rap artists, this musical genre now has its own ceremony and perhaps rewarded for its fair value.
On the stage of the legendary Châtelet theaterthe comedian and actress Fadily Camara was the mistress of ceremonies. Many artists have followed one another on the red carpet but also on stage for performances: Shay, SCH, Gazo or even Damso.
The first edition was broadcast on several platforms simultaneously: live on the YouTube channel, on the 6play platform and also on Twitch then delayed on W9.
What does this second Les Flammes ceremony have in store?
The artist Shay will be present again as well as around fifteen other artists including Aya Nakamura, Franglish, Abou Debeing and Imen ES will walk the stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet.
This year, several masters and mistresses of ceremonies are expecteds: comedian Nordine Ganso, influencer Sally, Hamza Pvris, Déborah Skuluch and Newin Bokhari.
For this second edition, Flames offers himself a live and prime-time broadcast on the W9 channel. The 2023 ceremony was followed by 108,000 viewers or 1.2% market share.
