A single-engine plane crashed around 2:15 p.m. this Thursday, January 2, 2025, according to the United States Federal Aviation Administration. The accident occurred near Fullerton airport, California, in the United States, reports CBS News.

The pilot took off at 2 p.m. from Fullerton Airport. Shortly after, he asked to return to the airport immediately.
After receiving clearance to land on any runway, the plane turned left toward one of them, but crashed about 300 meters from the airport.

“It looked like a movie”
The single-engine plane crashed into the roof of a factory. Witnesses recalled hearing a “loud noise” before running out of the building. A witness said he saw a person whose body and clothing appeared to have burns: “His shirt was burned, his shoes were burned, his face was burnedJavier Ruiz told CBS News. It looked like a movie.”
Evacuated area
Two people died and nineteen people were injured, according to Fullerton firefighters. Eleven of them were hospitalized.
Police evacuated the area near the accident site. Building inspectors put a red tag on the warehouse, prohibiting workers from entering again.
