The 11 most anticipated series of 2025

While 2024 treated us to exciting and varied series on the small screen, 2025 seems set to follow suit with other equally enticing content. Among the new releases: a breathtaking dive into the heart of the White House, a spicy comedy about Hollywood studios, a drama at the doors of the ultra-rich, the adaptation of a classic of French erotic literature… But it’s also the rest of our favorite programs that we impatiently await, whether for The White Lotus, The Bear or the final part of Stranger Things. Here are the series that you shouldn’t miss in 2025.

Severanceseason 2 (January 17)

The duo Adam Scott (Big Little Lies, Aviator) et Patricia Arquette (Boyhood, Lost Highway) enchanted us in the first season of this atypical thriller. Produced in part by Ben Stillerthe series takes place in the offices of a company in northeastern America, named Lumon Industries. While the workplace has long been fertile ground for television, Severance only confirms it. We follow the lives of these employees who decided to suddenly separate their professional life from their private life with the help of an astonishing (or totally terrifying) surgical operation. So, when Mark arrives in the company parking lot in tears after having recently lost his wife, once he has passed through the sanitized walls of the premises and stepped into the elevator, no more unpleasant emotions invade him. The secret of happiness? Not sure… Thought like an icy and cleverly stinging critique of the entrepreneurial world, Severance is quickly renewed for a season 2, to be discovered from mid-January on Apple +.

The White Lotusseason 3 (February 16)

Remember: in season 2 of The White Lotus, we stayed under the Italian sun, in Sicily. An idyllic setting for a series of grisly murders, the perpetrator of which was revealed at the very end of the season. Since 2021, the series imagined by Mike White for HBO shakes its spectators thanks to a scathing criticism of the ultra-rich, choosing for each part a heavenly vacation spot, the better to blithely mock its unbearable tourists nestled in the comfort of luxury hotels. After a first getaway to Hawaii, then a second to Italy, the third season anchors itself on the enchanting coasts of Thailand, between Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok.

Among the first names announced for the cast, we are delighted with the return of the adorable and naive Belinda (played by Natasha Rothwell), masseuse in the first season of the series, who hopes to found her own institute with money from Tanya, the character played by Jennifer Coolidge. She is accompanied by the Canadian Charlotte Le Bonwho we recently loved in the biopic of Celine Salette about the artist Niki de Saint Phalle, Jason Isaacsfamous for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the saga Harry Potter, Aimee Lou Woodseen as a young teenager discovering her own body in the series Sex Education, Michelle Monaghanspotted in the first season of True Detectiveor even Leslie Bibbwhich we discovered throughout the series Palm Royalebroadcast by Apple TV+ in 2024. But it is Lisa of the female group BLACKPINK who creates a surprise by offering herself a place among this high-flying casting, and her first steps as an actress at the same time.
