Fred Bianconi: He left by boat, we don’t know where. A priori, it conveys people who are taking a tour of the Mediterranean and there it stops near Montpellier, in a small port not far away. Once there, he cannot repress his irrepressible desire, and his need too, to go see Alix again.

When Olivier Szulzynger (screenwriter and writing director of Un si grand soleil) mentioned this return to me for the first time, which is a “first” return in fact, he told me that it was done clandestinely. Virgil must not be fooled. He must not be bothered or spotted. So there he is really in clandestine mode. But obviously, Manu (Moïse Santamaria) will end up knowing, via his informers and his general activity in Montpellier. He will eventually learn that Virgil is hanging around.
