Namur Cup | Bioul folds the match in the 1st period, and Grand-Leez win without difficulty

The Sang et Or immediately excited the debates, using the deserted Namur flanks, especially on the left side, and the fairly porous defensive axis. From the 7th minute, Servais is ideally placed to deceive Dupuis for the first time. A Bioulois recital which will last the entire first period. “I didn’t really recognize my team. We were completely absent during these first 45 minutes. Disunited and without fighting spirit”, regretted the mentor of the Olympians, Pascal Brackez. An initial weakness took advantage of the efficient visitors, who would increase the score to 4-O before the break and could have further increased the figures. “The instructions were perfectly applied. I asked for an offensive presence and we were able to take advantage of our opponent’s weaknesses,” rejoiced Grégory Dejaiffe, the Bioulois coach.

At the restart, a perfect free kick from the excellent Wauters eliminated what little suspense remained. The people of Namur had the good taste to find some punch in the duels and wanted to save honor at all costs. Twenty minutes from time, Mathieu succeeded deservedly. “This somewhat erases our off day of the first act. It’s a difficult recovery in the figures but, for us, the main thing remains the championship”, analyzed Pascal Brackez.

From the start of the match, the P3 residents decided to play their luck bravely, without complexes, they put pressure on a Rochefort team which is having difficulty entering the game. Possession is however on the visitors’ side, but they fail to worry the last rampart of Gebbia.

After timid attempts, it was the Lignards clan who created the surprise. On a free kick, the excellent Thuysebaert tamed Desseille one on one and opened the scoring for his team. But the joy of the Lower Sambrians is short-lived. In response, coach Servais’ men completely reversed the trend in the space of four minutes: Paquay, with a cross strike, restored parity before Ansiaux gave his team the lead. Then, Paquay again, well served by the same Ansiaux, puts his team on velvet before the break.

The second half will only be a walk in the park for Rochefort who already seem to be heading towards the quarter-finals. Micha and Paquay, twice each, give the score its definitive appearance.

At the end of the meeting, the Lignards coach, Frédéric Fraté, was proud of his group in this provincial cup, but also in this real gala match against Rochefort. “We scored first. Our primary objective was to show a good image of our club and that has been achieved, we can be proud of ourselves.”

Arbitrator: F. Carlier.

Buts: Francotte (0-1, 3rd; 0-3, 24th), Léglise (0-2, 14th; 0-4, 58th), Desmedt (1-4, 71st), Lakhouil (2-4, 72nd).

GRAND-LEEZ: Rousseau, Piret (46th Evrard), Fournier (86th Marchand), Grégoire, Brouir, Léglise, Cinier, Van Bets (76th Demoulin), Francotte (65th A. Gilles), Catinus, Michels.

Logic respected this Sunday, on the Forville field, on which the balls did not bounce much. The favorites started the match with a bang. Francotte took advantage of a defensive blunder to play against Somville. Ten minutes later, the untenable Grand-Leezian attacker found the goalkeeper in his path, but Léglise followed and doubled the lead. Francotte, again, managed to find the small right net, with a shot outside the rectangle. Fernelmont was not there.

At the end of the half, the visitors could have found the fault, but it was without counting on a goalkeeper of the caliber of Rousseau. The Forvillois played better after the break. But Grand-Leez once again increased the score via L’mpere, found by Francotte in the small rectangle. Lakhouil was on fire at the end of the match and made one assist after another for Desmedt, then a goal, offered on a plate by Pleugers. Grand-Leez was content to manage, with all his experience. The step was too high for Yves Vancraen’s men, from whom we have already seen better football.
