Florian Vermeersch will wear the colors of the UAE Team Emirates XRG in 2025. A new challenge awaits him as a teammate of Tadej Pogacar.
Florian Vermeersch (25 years old) first experienced his ouster from the team Lotto like an injustice. After four years spent in the ranks of the Belgian team, his contract was not renewed. “I had wonderful years at Lotto. I knew everyone on the team and always felt supported. It hurt me not to receive a new contract offer. Not that I necessarily would have stayed. I understand that it’s all a question of budget, but I find it a shame that things had to happen this way,” he told the daily Nieuwsblad.
