Real Madrid qualified this Monday for the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey by easily defeating Minera (D4) with a score of 5-0 in Cartagena. The Merengue are gradually moving towards a new title.

It's a week entirely dedicated to national cups for Real Madrid. And this Monday evening, Casa Bianca ideally launched hostilities by easily defeating Minera, who play in the fourth Spanish division, during the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey (5-0). For the occasion and three days before the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup against Mallorca, Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, made the move. The Italian technician installed Lunin in goal and brought a lot of youth into his rearguard with from right to left: Lorenzo (22 years old), Raul Asencio (21 years old), Diego Aguado (17 years old) and Fran Garcia (25 years old ). The latter is a little more used to playing than his other friends in defense. For the rest, Eduardo Camavinga was the only Frenchman in the starting lineup while Arda Güler, Endrick and Brahim Diaz formed the leading trio.

The Madrilenians never trembled in this game and could have won even more if they had shown more realism. And if Fran Martinez, the opposing goalkeeper, had not killed himself at the task.

Camavinga scorer, Mbappé almost decisive passer

Federico Valverde first opened the scoring with a beautiful right-footed volley before Camavinga doubled the lead with a header thanks to a nice serve from Fran Garcia. Arda Güler, whose playing time has fluctuated for many weeks, showed his advantage with a goal in each half allowing Real Madrid to be quietly in front. Add to that a goal from Modric shortly before the hour mark and you get the trifecta. Carlo Ancelotti even took the opportunity to give a few minutes to his stars like Vinicius and Mbappé. The second named came up against the opposing goalkeeper but was behind the last goal of the reigning Spanish champion.
