Cover up! The cold is preparing to return to a large part of France, with negative temperatures expected in Île-de-France from Sunday January 12, 2025. We take stock of the weather forecast in the Ile-de-France region for the days to come.
Take out your hats, scarves and gloves, because it may be cold from this Sunday January 12, 2025 across a large part of France, including Île-de-France. As indicated in the Weather Channelmercury continues to play the yoyo. Currently, “the cold air resists on the British Isles where it snows as well as in Scandinavia where it is up to -30°C“But be careful, because this cold air will eventually come down in the second half of the week, and the weather may change in the French sky this weekend and next week.
So this cold should tend “to push towards the south and descend towards our regions located north of the Seine“, added the Weather Channelwhich specifies that this cold “will not be excessive“, more than”the wind will accentuate the chilly feeling“.
So what should you expect? Paris and Île-de-France ? As we write these lines, Weather France announces a drop in temperatures in the Ile-de-France region from Friday January 10. The first negative temperatures should be felt on Sunday January 12, 2025 in the morning.
At daybreak, a mercury oscillating between -2°C and 0°C is announced by Weather France. During the day on Sunday, temperatures will return above 0°C, but will remain low. Expect between 1°C and 2°C in the afternoon. The night from Sunday to Monday is also expected to be cold, with temperatures forecast between -1°C and -3°C.
Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 January 2025the cold will be even more intense, with temperatures on Monday morning between -2°C and -4°C, particularly in the south of Yvelines and the south of Seine-et-Marne. It could also be the coldest day of the week. Tuesday morning, the situation will hardly change, with the mercury oscillating between -1°C and -3°C. On Wednesday January 15, temperatures will remain particularly low, between -1°C and 2°C. We will have to wait until Thursday to see the mercury rise slightly and return above 0°C in the morning.
But then, with such temperatures, should we expect back snow next week at Paris and Île-de-France ? Snowflake lovers will have to wait, as the weather is expected to remain calm and dry throughout the week. Beautiful rays of sunshine are even predicted from Monday almost everywhere in the Ile-de-France region. “This development will bring the establishment of dry weather in our country next week, allowing a decrease in watercourses that are currently often high.“, announces the Weather Channel. But clouds could return to the Ile-de-France sky from Wednesday January 15, without however bringing precipitation.
Obviously, this trend for the coming week must be confirmed in the coming days.
