Ryanair fell by 1.90% to 18.85 euros. The Irish budget airline reported its traffic results for December and for the whole of 2024. For the last month of the year, its passenger numbers were 13.6 million compared to 12 .5 million a year ago. The load factor was 92% compared to 91% the previous year. 77,380 flights were operated this month alone. In 2024, Ryanair recorded a total of 197.2 million passengers, compared to 181.8 million a year ago, with a load factor of 94%, similar to that of 2023.

Most recently, the Dublin-based airline confirmed it would take delivery of up to 29 new Boeing 737s in 2025, representing a $3 billion investment in cutting-edge aviation technology.

Ryanair indicates that these new aircraft will reduce CO2 emissions by 16% and noise by 40% while transporting 4% more passengers.

Among its resolutions for 2025, the company led by Michael O'Leary calls on European governments to adopt policies that promote the growth of aviation, tourism and employment.

She calls for the abolition of air taxes, citing recent examples of success in Sweden and Ireland, and criticizes tax hikes in , Germany and the United Kingdom.

It plans to increase its annual traffic by 200 to 300 million passengers thanks to the delivery of 350 new planes.
