In Dantean conditions in Dendermonde, Lucinda Brand (Baloise Glowi Lions) won the eighth round of the World Cup this Sunday, January 5, her first success in the competition since Dublin on December 1. The Dutchwoman won alone after taking the lead halfway through the race and ahead of Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) and Fem van Empel (Team Visma | Lease a Bike). In the general classification, she continues to widen the gap on the world champion.
