This is an offer like we rarely see in the world of SVOD. This time it is not an increase in the price of the package, or a switch to free only for a weekend, but a rather devastating promotional offer.
Disney+ for less than 2 euros
From Friday January 3and until January 21, 2025, Disney+ is launching a promotion on its Disney Plus Standard subscription with advertising.
The subscription goes from 6 euros to 2 euros per month, 1.99 euros to be precise. The offer is always without obligation, and the promotional price valid for 12 months.
We imagine that the launch of this offer, a few weeks after leaving the Canal+ bouquet, is not insignificant for Disney and will make it possible to maintain the number of subscribers in France.
Why it’s perfect for kids
As its name suggests, the “Disney Plus Standard with advertising” offer includes advertisements for subscribers. It is one of the latest trends in SVOD which nevertheless created its market on the promise of delinearized television without advertisements.

Except that at Disney, some are fortunately spared from advertising: children’s accounts. It’s written in black and white in the conditions of Disney+.
Regardless of the subscription purchased, no advertising will appear on profiles in Junior mode.

Disney’s description of junior mode specifies this again: “ No advertising is broadcast on content viewed in Junior mode ».
