You will have understood, Gunnar Sønsteby really existed. The man was only 21 years old when Nazi Germany entered the war against Norway on April 9, 1940. To carry out his resistance operations, the man who is now considered a hero in his country infiltrated the collaborationist police , worked remotely with the resistance movements organized in London – he could not go there himself before 1943 due to repression and unfavorable weather conditions for crossing by boat. Gunnar Sønsteby was actually part of the Oslo Gang and coordinated sabotage actions, in particular to prevent the recruitment of young Norwegians on the Eastern Front. The resistance fighter died on May 10, 2012, at the age of 94.
