Cambier is first of all a brewery which had just celebrated its tenth anniversary last June. This Tuesday, December 31, years of work went up in smoke. At this stage, firefighters have not given details regarding the circumstances of the accident. Our colleagues from The Voice of the North thus speak of a fire which completely destroyed the manufacturing, storage and sales building located rue Jean-Monnet in Croix. An adjoining building housing the Euro Pare-Brise + company was also reduced to ashes.
Six months ago, Jean-Christophe Cambier invited his customers and partners to his premises to celebrate the brewery’s tenth anniversary.
In a decade, Cambier has established itself on the Hauts-de-France brewing market.
In 2024, Cambier will have twelve employees and more than 5,000 hectoliters of beer produced per year. The establishment is famous for its range called Mongy and its multiple versions. Blonde, triple, IPA, amber, organic saison or even ephemeral beers, the brand has always focused on a wide range of products. The beer from the Cambier brewery was highlighted by Bière magazine in 2023.
The brewery, which had managed to get its head out despite Covid and then inflation, had invested in three new tanks in August 2023 in order to produce more. Today, this almost new equipment is reduced to nothing.
