Zalando has decided to reduce its return times from 100 to 30 days from January 7. The new rules apply to the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Belgium is not concerned for the moment.
Consumers in the Netherlands, Italy and Germany who wish to return their Zalando items will only have 30 days to do so from January 7, instead of the previous 100 days. The fashion and lifestyle platform has decided to reduce its return times. “As a customer-centric company, we regularly conduct surveys on what our customers care about. We have found that over 90% of our customers return products within 30 days. A shorter return time ensures that returned items are available to other customers more quickly. As this change will have little impact on our customers’ purchasing behavior, but improves their experience, we have decided to adapt our policy from January 7, 2025 in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy », Explained Gilbert Kreijger, spokesperson for Zalando, to Gondola. “This adjustment is an opportunity to test new features that will make shopping at Zalando even easier. We are confident that this change will benefit all of our customers.” Gilbert Kreijger also emphasized that Zalando is now focusing on implementing the new return conditions in the three countries mentioned. Belgium is therefore not concerned for the moment. However, it is not known how long this will take. “For the moment, we have no other projects to share,” concludes the spokesperson.
