Slovenia-Denmark, pre-match

This meeting between Slovenia and Denmark constitutes the first in Group C of
Euro 2024. The Reprezentanca finished second in their elimination group, with the same number of points as their opponent of the evening, who reached the top of their group. Revelations of Euro 2020 with a semi-finalist place, the Danish Dynamites did not confirm at the 2022 World Cup, finishing last in their group. As for the Slovenes, they have not qualified for a major tournament since the 2010 World Cup.

Slovenian coach Matjaz Kek will be able to count on his entire group. Goalkeeper Oblak and striker Sesko will be particularly scrutinized. In the opposing camp, Danish coach Kasper Hjulmand also has all of his troops at his disposal. Andersen, Højbjerg, Eriksen and Højlund should start the match.
