A very successful open day

Saturday June 8, the firefighters and young firefighters of Longeau-Prauthoy opened the doors of the local fire station to a large public. The sun of the party contributed to the success of this day dedicated to the presentation of the troops, their functions and equipment.

In the morning, the young engineers put in a demonstration, already displaying certain know-how and perhaps making young teenagers want to come and join them.

Costumed like real firefighters and keen to give a good image of the role they learned during their training days, they clearly showed the public that they had perfectly integrated the side of rescuing people and property. In the afternoon, the adult firefighters’ maneuvers focused on fire, road rescue and first aid interventions. The slightly veiled sun did not prevent the day from going smoothly, including a well-stocked buffet and refreshment bar.

The local engineers were able to show themselves at their best. This idea of ​​open doors achieved its objectives: to raise awareness of the barracks and its men and to share know-how with the population.

  • During a simulated road accident, the young engineer showed her ability to intervene by following the procedures.
  • A large audience followed the JSP demonstrations in the morning.
