PSG pushes to throw two players out

While Euro 2024 is in full swing in Germany, clubs are working hard on their transfer window in order to prepare for their return to business. It is clear that Paris Saint-Germain is no exception to this rule. After registering the signing of Matvey Safonov from FK Krasnodar, the reigning French champion has identified the needs in terms of arrivals, namely the recruitment of an attacking player to compensate for the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid and another capable of strengthening the defensive sector. But this may also move in the opposite direction as several players are expected to leave the City of Lights, including Milan Skriniar.

At the end of his contract with Inter Milan, the Slovak defender joined PSG last summer before starting the season as a starter. However, the former Nerazzuri captain quickly fell down the defensive hierarchy. Stopped in his tracks due to an ankle injury during the Champions Trophy, a physical problem which forced him to have an operation and stay in the infirmary for several weeks, the 29-year-old finally completed his returned at the end of March but did not play a single minute during the major meetings in the Champions League. At the end of a mixed first season despite 32 appearances for 1 goal, the Slovak is no longer in the odor of sanctity in the French capital.

Milan Skriniar on the rebound in Türkiye, Fabian Ruiz also on the way out?

Unsatisfied with the performances of the native of Žiar and Hronom, Luis Enrique is not counting on him for the coming season and is looking to get rid of him at all costs, especially since the 29-year-old defender has a substantial salary. This is good because according to our information, Milan Skriniar remains very popular on the market, especially in Turkey where the Süper Lig big names such as Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Besiktas are willing to welcome him. A good omen for the Slovak, currently in Germany to play Euro 2024 with his national team, who recently opened the door to a departure from the capital club. But that’s not all because in the wake of Milan Skriniar, Fabian Ruiz could also leave the Parisian ship during the summer transfer window.

Undoubtedly one of the nice surprises of Euro 2024, the Spanish midfielder is walking on water with La Roja and is establishing himself as one of the best players in Luis de la Fuente’s starting XI, as evidenced by his outstanding performances against Croatia and Italy during the group stage. A situation that nevertheless contrasts with his status at Paris Saint-Germain. A rotating element in Luis Enrique’s squad, the former Neapolitan took advantage of Manuel Ugarte’s decline, who could also pack his bags just a year after his arrival, to regain a starting spot and complete a more than honourable end to the season with the Parisians. However, his future in Paris remains unclear and although he is highly regarded internally, particularly by Luis Enrique, PSG could capitalise on his performances at the Euro to increase his market value and sell him at a good price if an interesting offer is on the table. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Spaniard, who is under contract with PSG until June 2027.
