Initially planned at the kiosk, the launch of Label Journee last Saturday had to take place at the Maison Bleue due to unfavorable weather.

Benoit River, President of the Label de Nuit association, launched Label Journée, a completely free festive day which gives pride of place to music but also to dance and comedy.

After recalling the day’s program, he passed the microphone to Jean-François Labit, president of Tempo Latino for a presentation of the 2024 edition.

Jean-François Labit insisted on the association’s desire to make programmed music, music resulting from cultural and popular mixing, accessible to as many people as possible, thanks to a rich offer of free concerts and a single price without distinction of place for the concerts at the arenas.

He also recalled that the richness of Tempo lies in the diversity of the programming, a programming to be considered in its entirety.

Eric Duffau, programming director thanked Label de Nuit for the invitation and said he was moved to find himself in the place where the association was born in September 1993.

For him, Tempo is about encounters that are sources of wealth. The author of the poster, Emmanuel Michel, is precisely one of these encounters.

This painter and sculptor lives in Tarn but travels the world, bringing back travel sketches.

This poster, which Eric called “The Beauty on the Balcony,” was a great success with the public.

Its author will be there for Tempo to sign a collector’s version without the programming.

The godmother of the 2024 edition will be Chritelle Durandy, singer of Pacific Mambo Orchestra.

As for the programming, it mixes returns and new features.

In terms of returns, Sergent Garcia, Raoul Paz, Pacific Mambo Orchestra and La 33.

The newcomers, Roberto Fonseca, Maïté Hontele’s and La Delio valdez.

A program that once again promises a major musical journey!

As for the Off festival, it gives pride of place to new releases with groups participating in Tempo for the first time: Le Tout Puissant Tropical Orchestra, Calle Mambo, Pambele, Karla da Silva, Acido Pantera.

A tribute will be paid to Reynier Silegas on Friday evening before the concert in memory of the shared adventure with Tempo Latino.

He ended with a message to the candidates in the next elections: let them ensure that we can continue to mix genres, people, styles like Tempo Latino and Label de Nuit do!
