Usually cautious when the time comes to comment on Joe Biden’s presence, the Dr Julien J. Cavanagh, assistant professor of neurology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, did not mince his words on Friday to qualify the Democratic president’s performance during Thursday evening’s debate.

“I saw a president who was at his worst, no doubt, who was hypophonic, who couldn’t project his voice, who was hypomimic even though we knew he had this legendary smile, this way of communicating with non-verbally with his audience. There, we no longer saw his facial expression. I found that he was bradyphrenic, that is to say that his thinking was slow, disjointed and that at several moments he was unable to finish his argument and get to the end of what he was saying. “he had to say,” explained the neurologist in an interview with LCN.

The latter observed several moments during which the American president uttered meaningless sentences and issued reasoning that was difficult, even impossible, to follow.

One thing is certain, the neurologist is asking serious questions about the health of Joe Biden and his ability to lead the United States.

“There, it is still urgent to note that this performance which is, over 90 minutes, without a doubt, a disaster, I think that today, with what I see, the President of the United States is no longer capable,” proclaims the specialist.

The Dr Cavanagh says he and several of his colleagues heatedly discussed Mr. Biden’s health Friday morning.

“If one of my fellow doctors were like that in front of patients, we would go to the hospital hierarchy and say: he can no longer practice, he can no longer see patients or, in any case, he [lui] we must take a serious break“, says the neurologist.
