Yesterday I stopped!, the Doully show: we were at the Trianon, we tell you!

Doully, we already adored her as presenter of Groland and for her legendary chronicles on France Inter…We couldn’t wait to discover her on stage for her one woman show “Hier j’stop!”, a show co-written with a certain … Blanche Gardin. And we’ll tell you right away, we literally cried laughing.

This Friday May 31the appointment is made in a Trianon archi complete. After traveling the roads of France, Doully returns home again, to Paris: “And how are my little Parisian asses doing?!“: the hoarse and singular voice of Doully resounds joyfully from behind the scenes and already makes us smile. His friend Yacine Belhousse, who no longer needs to be introduced, then enters the stage to provide the first part, and we feel that we are going to have a good evening! Yacine talks about her little complexes and her weight gain during confinement (we feel less alone!), her childhood memories and… her doubts about our degree of preparation to welcome the Jthem Olympics ! It’s funny, touching, intelligent. Our zygomatics are already boiling hot to welcome Doully!

The actress then appears on stage, long skirt and camisole, barefoot, and approaches a high chair, which sits in the middle of the stage. She sparkles, and we are ready to embark with her into her world…

Doully, she is an incredible woman, with a tormented journey, who has already lived a thousand lives in one lifetime. She sincerely talks about her past as a drug addict, her disability (she has Charcot Marie Tooth disease)… She then lists all the absurd situations she faces in her daily life, and it’s… hilarious. The comedian has found the balance between the sometimes serious or heavy substance and the light, funny and distant way of talking about it. She showers the room by explaining that she had overdosed three times… and easily manages to bring out laughter the next moment.

If its history infuses its entire spectacle, the life of a couple, the organic stores or the bearded hipsters take their place. The pace is brisk, the topics and jokes follow one another... and it’s our abs that are put to the test!

We warn you for the next dates: avoid the first row if you don’t want to take the risk of being spotted by Doully! Friday, it was Anthony, known as Antho, who spiced up the evening. Between his job as a “mechanical engineer for glass syringes” (!) and his masterful karaoke dance on stage with Doully, to close the evening, he was up to the task.

A huge favorite for us…and a must-see show at the Folies Bergères on October 31and on tour in several cities in France.
