He was re-elected as deputy for Val-d’Oise with 56.01% of the votes cast and 32.90% of registered voters (the threshold for being elected in the first round is 50% plus one vote and 25% of registered voters).

His opponent from the National Rally, Quentin Hoarau, is several lengths behind with 18.70% of the votes.

Candidate of the presidential majority, Fatima Liliyage, finished third with 12.95%.

The candidate of the Republicans (historical channel, without agreement with the RN) Boualem Meziane is fourth with 7.62%. Dominique Mariette (LO) is fifth with 1.34%.

“We can ward off the worst”

“I was re-elected in the first round. It is a huge honor for me, two years after our first election. It shows the confidence that voters have in my action. Elected in the first round, it is a great responsibility. is a recognition of work. I know above all that it is adherence to a program, that of the new Popular Front and its measures to change everything: the minimum wage at €1,600, retirement at 60, immediate recognition of the work. State of Palestine, the blocking of prices I know that this comes at a time of great gravity for the country, with the progression of the extreme right, a possibility that it will take power, but if the worst is possible, the worst. better is also in seven days, provided that what we saw today in Argenteuil-Bezons, an incredible, historic participation, up almost 20 points compared to the previous legislative election, continues. We can ward off the worst. I will participate, since I am re-elected deputy for the fifth constituency of Val-d’Oise, before returning to the National Assembly, to lead the battles against the extreme, against the macronie. in the coming days. We have many qualified candidates in Val-d’Oise, sometimes with triangular candidates. I think that the New Popular Front will progress. We had four outgoing deputies; there could be six, seven and perhaps eight in the third, fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth constituencies (Editor’s note, where Carlos Martens Bilongo, outgoing LFI deputy, was also re-elected deputy from the first round with 58.27% of the votes cast.”
