Max Lalande, a Mayenne native who travels across America, took a photo of two Peruvian newspaper vendors in the city of Arequipa. And he asked them to pose with a photo of the Ouest-France editorial office in Laval before sending it to us.

This Friday, June 28, 2024, the Ouest-France editorial team in Laval received a curious letter.

Inside the envelope, a photo immortalizes two Peruvians in front of a shop loaded with comics, magazines and toys, holding in their hands a snapshot of the Laval team of editors who keep you informed every day of Mayenne news.

The Instagram account Bite into life with gusto

Behind this initiative we find Max Lalande, who left to explore America last January. The one who had made himself known on social networks, with his Instagram account Croquer la vie à Full Teeth, brought portraits of Mayennais.

There, he had the locals pose with a snapshot of their French counterparts. That’s how our photo ended up in a newspaper kiosk in the city of Arequipa, Peru.

Today, this photo of Peruvian newsagents holding a photo of the Laval editorial staff can be found in our edition of Ouest-France. It makes us dizzy but it delights us.
