SFR network: Poste Mobile and others are victims of a major outage!

If you are a customer of La Poste Mobile, Prixtel or even Syma, you have probably noticed that your smartphone can no longer make a mobile call. This is normal, the SFR network seems to be failing, which affects the activities of the MVNOs operating it.

For the moment information is rare but the number of reports has exploded in recent hours. A massive mobile network outage affects usage and many professional activities. It also seems that some SFR subscribers are victims of this malfunction. Here is an update on the situation.

SFR, La Poste Mobile, Syma, Coriolis or even Prixtel, a problem is underway

As we have pointed out, the problem has not yet been officially recognized at the time of writing this news. Many MVNO customers can no longer use their smartphone to make mobile calls (calls to a landline work). Internet access does not seem to be affected. Thousands of reports have been pouring in since the beginning of the morning. They are signed by customers of Poste Mobile, Syma mobile, Prixtel and Coriolis.

One of the messages returned when attempting to call a mobile is

Your available communication credit is exhausted

You can try restarting your smartphone to try to resolve the problem but there is no positive feedback on this at the moment.

A quick look at the various La Poste Mobile social networks reveals general discontent. A customer explains in a message on Facebook

“Impossible to send any SMS or make any phone call since this morning from my mobile phone, it tells me that my communication credit is exhausted that I have to recharge which is incomprehensible given that I am on a 250GB 5G SMS calls package Unlimited MMS! It is also impossible to access the account tracking app just like on the mobile post website!”

Another adds

“The same problem with us, our 4 lines are impacted. The number is no longer recognized, impossible to connect to the application or to the site, no SMS/MMS we cannot call but I receive calls. It’s my work tool so I hope it won’t last too long.”

Update: June 4, 2024 – 10:44 a.m. The cause of the failure seems to have been found and above all resolved. A return to normal is underway.
