The weather is grey over two thirds of the country, from the southwest to the centre-east with scattered drizzle and rain. These rains are more pronounced north of the Seine. The reliefs are covered, from Auvergne to the Northern Alps. A small south-eastern quarter retains a veiled sun with a strong wind (gusts of nearly 90 km/h). A few storms break out on the Corsican mountains.

Minimum temperatures are slightly lower. In general, it is 10 to 14°C with still 15 to 18°C ​​on the Mediterranean coast.

Afternoon

The grey and humid weather with scattered rains continues in the Grand Est as far as Franche-Comté in an autumnal atmosphere. Some clearings return to the Atlantic arc in Aquitaine. The weather remains overcast and windy on the English Channel. The sky is veiled with a wind still strong around the Mediterranean. A few mountain storms break out over Corsica and Mercantour. The stage of the Tour de France (Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne – Saint-Vulbas) in the Alpine plains will have grey and cool weather, which is perfect for cyclists.

Maximum temperatures, slightly lower, range from 18 to 22°C in general, with still 25 to 27°C in the south-east, inland.

Soirée

The weather remains wet and windy in the regions located north of the Loire and on the eastern flank up to the Savoies, with wind on the edge of the Channel. The sky clears on the Atlantic arc. It remains clear with wind in the southeast.

Further trend

The weather will improve from Thursday, before a beautiful summer day is forecast for Friday across the country. Then, a further stormy deterioration is expected on Saturday.
