If fans are now reassured, many are ask what awaits them in this next season. Will Emily still be in Rome? Will Alfie still be there? Who, Marcello or Gabriel, will have the heart of our pretty American girl? We tell you everything we know about season 5 ofEmily in Paris.

Rome or Paris? Marcello or Gabriel? What does season 5 of Emily in Paris have in store for us?

Without too much suspense, it is clear that Emily is not finished with Italy, and more precisely with the sublime Roman capital. Darren Star, the creator of the series, confirms this at the microphone of TUDUM :

”The fifth season of Emily in Paris will continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris.”

Nothing very surprising if we remember the plot of this season 4. As a reminder, we are witnessing the birth of a romance between Emily and a handsome Italian. At the same time, the young woman moved into an Italian apartment in order to open the future offices of the Grateau Agency in Rome. However, don’t panic, this does not mean that Emily will not return to Paris… Once again, the young woman will share her time between the two capitals and certainly between two men: Marcello and Gabriel. In addition, Darren Star specifies that the series is absolutely not going to rename itself Emily in Romebut will stay good Emily in Parisexplaining that the young woman will indeed be present in Rome but that she will also return to Paris.

Determined to reveal more to us about the twists and turns of this next season, Lily Collins also indulged in some confidences to the prying ears of TUDUM. In particular, she reveals that she is eager to discover what the future holds for the beautiful Emily and the charming Marcello:

”Marcello is a completely different adventure that we want for Emily because we want her to be able to have a better balance between her private life and her professional life. We want Emily to be able to smile without any restrictions and discover her beyond her vacation mode. Marcello arrives at just the right time.”

Comments confirmed by Darren Star, indicating that he sees a real spark and an authentic romantic connection between Emily and Marcello. However, it is clear that nothing is decided for the Emily-Marcello romance. Indeed, Gabriel finally realized that he wants to be with Emily more than anything. And the chef seems to be more than determined to fight for his neighbor’s heart! However, as Lily Collins explains, Gabriel will have to face the consequences of his choice to have ended his relationship with Emily.

Is Emily Cooper ready to give up? Will her budding romance with Marcello lead to a serious relationship? We will have to wait for season 5 ofEmily in Paris to find out the answers to these questions!

Who do we find in the cast of season 5 of Emily in Paris?

As the famous phrase goes ”we take the same ones, and we start again”. In any case, this is what seems the most logical for season 5. Obviously, there is noEmily in Paris without Lily Collins. Lucas Bravo (Gabriel) should also be there, as should Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello). Ashley Park (Mindy), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julien) and Bruno Gouery (Luc) are also expected for these next adventures.

As for Paul Forman who plays Nicolas, the actor seemed to bid farewell to the series in an Instagram post, implying that he would not be back in the next season. On the side of Camille Razat (Camille), the young woman also seems to have said goodbye to Emily in this season 4. However, with regard to the character of Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), the mystery still remains. Indeed, the actor deliberately left doubt about the future of the Briton in the series.

What release date for season 5 of Emily in Paris?

Difficult at the moment to estimate the release date of season 5 ofEmily in Parishowever, it seems quite obvious that it will be released in the third quarter of 2025 at the earliest.

As a reminder :

  • Season 1: the 10 episodes were revealed on October 2, 2020;
  • Season 2: all 10 episodes were released on December 22, 2021;
  • Season 3: all 10 episodes arrived on Netflix on December 21, 2022;
  • Season 4: the first 5 episodes arrived on August 15, 2024 and the last 5 on September 12, 2024.

Why such a wait for season 4? The platform that makes TUDUM explained in June 2023 that a social movement within the company had led to significant delays. However, if we assume that everything is now back to normal, season 5 ofEmily in Paris should be revealed, at the earliest, within 1 year. Being positive, we can therefore expect the first episodes of season 5 (in case Netflix decides again to choose a broadcast in two parts) for the start of the 2025 school year, i.e. in September – or even in the month of August if Netflix works hard.

Netflix at €5.99/month
