The Pan-Africanist activist declared last August that he had received a Nigerien diplomatic passport. “In response to the procedure for forfeiture of my nationality, committed by Françafrique against my person […], the revolutionary and visionary general Abdourahamane Tiani, head of state of Niger, accompanied by the valiant members of the CNSP […]decided to grant me the diplomatic passport, in view of the fight that I led for 25 years for Africa, and this, peril of my life,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Benefiting from a certain aura on social networks, the activist is accused of being a relay of influence for Russia on the continent. In Niger, where Moscow has gained influence, it has access to the highest summit of the state. Kemi Seba also welcomed the creation of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which brings together Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, all breaking ties with the Economic Community of African States of the West (Cedeao).
