Fernanda Torres was not confident about winning the Golden Globes. On the eve of the award, she even classified as “practically zero” the chance of winning the statuette for Best Drama Actress for Eunice Paiva, in I'm Still Here. However, the thinking of Fernanda Montenegro, the actress's mother, was very different.

“Mom was sure. I said: 'Mom, I don't have…'. She said: 'It's going to take it, it's going to take it'”, he revealed in an interview with Globo.

“I thought there was no way, that I didn’t have the slightest chance. I’m shocked, I’m shocked”, he repeated.

In Fernanda Torres' opinion, it was a very difficult award: “I think it was a very divided year, because everyone deserved it, a year that everyone deserves. And I don't know. I think that our work, I have no idea, I don't know who votes, we are doing a very strong job, my name came forward, Variety helped immensely.
