Located at 29 rue Bossuet in Dijon, far from the future Dauphine Dijon, the Chouette France store is preparing to permanently close its doors after a period of total liquidation until January 31. This change is not linked to economic difficulties, the store is doing well. The closure results from a personal choice of its creator, who wanted to transmit her project to partners sharing the same values: promoting « Made in France ».
This project will continue to live through a new company, Manufacture Perrin, a factory specializing in the manufacture of socks and of tights quality 100% made in France, based in Montceau-les-Mines in Saône-et-Loire.
A store that contributes to the city’s identity
Chouette France customers, loyal ones and new ones who are just discovering the concept, come in large numbers to take advantage of the reduced prices. up to 50% : “I find it reassuring to know that it's not a big chain who will settle here,” explains Julien, a 44-year-old from Dijon, who came to take advantage of the promotions.
“Dijon already has its share of big brands, and it’s nice to see a project that remains human size and which highlights French production, if not local. This kind of store gives a particular identity to our downtown. »
The future store: La Manufacture
The new “La Manufacture” boutique will open its doors on February 9. It will offer an extensive range of men's and women's ready-to-wear, as well as accessories such as socks et shoesentirely made in France.
This opening will mark the second location of La Manufacture in Côte-d'Or, after the success of its boutique in Beaune.
No layoffs
The two Chouette France employees will continue to work in the new store. They will then have a few days to familiarize themselves with the new decor.
“It won’t be the same store, but it will be the same people… and that’s reassuring to know that they will be there, especially in these times, but also becausewe become attached to these peoplethese are familiar faces! » confides Jacqueline, a resident of the neighborhood.
