On January 1, a man lost his life after receiving several violent blows from one of his relatives. According to initial information from the investigation, the attacker would be a French actor seen in Household scenes.
During the day of Wednesday, January 1, a violent fight between two men broke out in front of a café in downtown Apt (in Vaucluse). Following this altercation, one of the protagonists, a man in his fifties, ended up on the ground after receiving several violent blows, while the second left the scene. Although the victim was quickly treated by firefighters and taken to hospital, he unfortunately lost his life just a few hours after the incident. According to information relayed by the Parisian the man who allegedly hit him on his fiftieth birthday, would be none other than the victim's ex-brother-in-law, namely the actor Dimitri Boetto. Arrested a few hours later on a train by the gendarmes of the Apt search brigade, the 51-year-old actor was then placed in police custody for homicide.
Facing the gendarmes, Dimitri Boetto – known to the French for having participated in various television series such as Household Scenes (M6), Tomorrow belongs to us (TF1), So far, so good (Netflix), and many others… – would have admitted to having had a family disagreement with his former brother-in-law. However, he reportedly told investigators that he was not aware that his former brother-in-law had died from his injuries. An investigation was opened by the Avignon public prosecutor's office.
Dimitri Boetto: the actor has already been to prison!
As the regional newspaper also recalled, Dimitri Boetto is a well-known personality in the police force. For good reason, during an interview done in May 2023 on the YouTube channel of Shot Media the 51-year-old actor revealed that he had already been convicted. According to him, he had spent time in prison.for several years for acts of criminal conspiracy [et pour] possession of weapons“. “I had the wrong codes. I expressed myself with the codes of the young male full of testosterone and it landed me in prison“, he explained.
