Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz wished God's mercy to the artist Ferdi Tayfur, who lost his life in the hospital where he was treated in Antalya.
Yılmaz, in his message shared on his social media account, said: “May God have mercy on Ferdi Tayfur, our valuable artist and well-known gentleman with his personality, and I offer my condolences to his family, loved ones and our art community. May he rest in peace. How happy are those who left behind beautiful memories and works.” he said.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy published a condolence message regarding the death of Ferdi Tayfur on his social media account. “It hurts even more! I learned with deep sadness that Ferdi Tayfur, the owner of immortal works such as “İçim Yanar”, “Bana Sor” and “Hatıran Yeter”, has passed away. Our art world lost a very exceptional name today. He translated the feelings of millions with his works. The great master will now live in our hearts and will accompany us in our pains and joys. I wish God's mercy on him and my condolences to his family, loved ones and our entire art community. May he rest in peace.” He included his statements.

The Ministry of Health made a statement on its social media account regarding the death of Ferdi Tayfur. “We learned with deep sadness the death of Ferdi Tayfur, one of our country's rare artists. Ferdi Tayfur, who won the hearts of millions with the works he contributed to Turkish music, will always be remembered with respect. Ferdi Tayfur appeared in front of the cameras for the last time in his sick bed on December 19th and said:How are you' to the question, “I'm fine, thanks to you. Thanks to God. I've gone through so much trouble. I mean, not everyone can have it. May God bless you. Thank you. I'm very well.” He used the following expressions.
WHO IS FERDİ TAYFUR?
Ferdi Tayfur was born in 1945 in Adana's Hürriyet District.
Father Cumali Turanbayburt, who is a fan of the famous theater and dubbing artist Ferdi Tayfur, named his youngest son Ferdi Tayfur. His father, Cumali Turanbayburt, named his youngest son Ferdi Tayfur because of his admiration for the artist Ferdi Tayfur. His father's greatest wish is for Ferdi to have a good life. is to be educated. However, the murder of his father causes Ferdi's school life to be cut short. Ferdi, who had to leave school, contributes to his family's livelihood by working on the farm. When young Ferdi was only 16 years old, he went from Adana to Istanbul with the dream of becoming a singer. Since there was not much demand for child singers in those years, Ferdi Tayfur, who could not prove himself, returned to Adana and continued working as a tractor driver on the farm.
He comes to Istanbul again in 1968 and makes a two-record deal with Seda Plak. However, the two 45s he made did not work. He returns to Adana and takes over the work on the farm. Three years later, his record titled 'I Have No Peace' is not sold either. Ferdi Tayfur has produced many albums. He is famous for his songs such as Seni Belendim, Gönül Yorgunu, Sevda Yelleri, Emmoğlu, Çeşme, Last Year, At Every Hour, Don't Think I'll Return to You, Don't Worry You, I Miss You Too, Sliding in the Stars, Huzurum Kalmasıd.
He made 50 tapes and over 34 films. He received the Golden Record Award 9 times. In 1982, he founded the Ferdifon Plakçılık company under his own name. It also entered the construction industry in 2009.
