The Ministry of Environment celebrates Christmas this year 2025 in its own way, as the outreach team of the Ministry’s Central Administration for Information and Environmental Awareness implemented distinctive designs for the “Christmas Tree,” “Santa Claus,” and “New Year’s Decorations” from environmentally friendly materials, as a manifestation of Egyptian rituals. To celebrate New Year’s Day 2025, in order to establish ideas for reusing and recycling environmental waste and making full use of it.

The celebrations presented by the Ministry’s outreach team of the “Christmas Tree” and “Santa Claus”, a bouquet of flowers, and balls of colored threads, on the occasion of New Year’s holidays, came from environmentally friendly components of household waste, such as cloth, thread, cardboard, shiny foam paper, and waste. Wood and burlap in order to achieve an aesthetic appearance, as it can be made at home with some simple tools and reuse of old things to decorate the house at the lowest costs and bring joy and happiness to the place.

This comes within the framework of the ministry’s awareness teams’ keenness to invest in various occasions to raise environmental awareness among all groups and segments of society on the importance of reusing paper, plastic and cardboard waste and maximizing their benefit and raising awareness of the concept of reuse as one of the means to preserve the environment through implementing technical workshops in various governorates to teach participants. How to make such products and inform participants of the value of available resources. This supports the concept of the environment for happiness.
