For his big comeback, Léon Marchand was in the final of the 100m medley in Shanghai (China), Friday October 18. This is a first step for the World Cup and a first victory for the Olympic swimming champion. The Chinese discovered this athlete. “He went so fast that I had trouble keeping up with him.”says a spectator. With a new French record, the swimmer made a successful return after the Olympic Games.

“I took a break and came back to training a month ago”explains Léon Marchand. Since the Olympics, the swimmer, who has become a star in spite of himself, says he keeps his head on his shoulders. “I stay as I am, after all, there have been a lot of changes, especially in France, so I try to deal with it,” he indicates. Since his coronation, the swimmer has signed contracts with a luxury brand and a car manufacturer. In France, the star of the pools attracts crowds.
