A triumph that was not at all convincing since the McGill offense accumulated 460 total yards on offense with excellent quarterback Éloa Latendresse-Régimbald who put on quite a show in front of 15,410 at Telus Stadium. also set a new crowd record with 72,234 people for the four regular season games.

Ordinary first half

Things could have become downright disastrous for Laval if it hadn’t been for cornerback Jordan Lessard. The Laval defensive back twice intercepted the McGill quarterback in his own end zone. The first theft led directly to Laval’s only major since Arnaud Desjardins joined Émeric Boutin on 90 yards the play following this first interception.

Laval also played a very ordinary first half, having a punt blocked at the start of the game.

McGill also has more than 9 minutes of possession of the ball than his opponent. Total yards finished 227 to 185 in favor of the visitors. The positive point for the locals came from the defense which brought down the Redbirds quarterback five times behind his line of scrimmage.
