Beaten but not defeated, Taylor especially wanted to insist with a lot of fair play on the performance of the tricolor. It's rare for a dominated player to be so rave about an opponent.
“If he continues to play like he did today for five sets, I think he will be difficult to beat. As I said, he returns all my serves, even when I make very good first serves. The way he serves on top of that, plus the power of his second serve, it's really difficult to dominate him with his weapons. I felt like I couldn't make him doubt me. I couldn't attack him enough. I didn't manage to push him. He played really well. I couldn't do much.”
