On January 17, Sylvie Cordier brought together members and friends of the Accueil des Villes de (AVF) association for traditional New Year greetings. She took the opportunity to make a solemn announcement.

AVF has 150 members and has premises at 17, rue Ampère. Its primary vocation is to assist and guide families settling in , particularly those of soldiers. On March 29, she will organize the welcome day for new Chaumont residents (who have arrived a year ago). Interested parties must register by telephone at 06.08.54.27.31.

Throughout the year, members meet for manual activities (cooking), cultural and sporting activities (hiking), for outings, shows, such as an operetta in on March 2. In partnership with the media library, its social project is to give young parents in the Rochotte district a taste for reading.

Sylvie Cordier, president, also a member of the municipal council, devotes her life to others.

On June 27, elections will renew the board of directors, currently composed of Sylvie Cordier, president, Jeannine Hutter, vice-president, Marie Lourot, secretary, Elisabeth Moucheroud, treasurer.

It's been ten years since Sylvie Cordier was president, she announced that she was not running for re-election. After which, the assembly celebrated the new year around pancakes.
