The connected home, robots and artificial intelligence stronger than ever?

On the program for this CES 2025, we can expect a lot of artificial intelligence. Chatbots ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Meta AI, Claude (Anthropic) or Grok (xAI) are expected to be integrated into many products for the very first time. We particularly expect to see them land in household appliances and in the connected home, but also in cars or connected glasses.

Another expected trend: the generation of the Matter protocol in the connected home, notably with the first robot vacuum cleaners compatible with this standard. Connected locks could also come in force, as this segment gains popularity.

In addition to announcements on mixed/augmented reality, new consoles in the Steam Deck style, the arrival of new giant televisions (which were the big stars of CES 2024, with transparent screens) and the presentation of new cars futuristic (often conceptual), CES 2025 could also be dedicated to robots. The AI era makes domestic robots increasingly plausible, although these products are likely several years away. In the meantime, robots dedicated to specific tasks, such as tidying up or cleaning, should continue to multiply.

What about major conferences? In addition to the essential Samsung, LG, Sony and Panasonic, the stars of CES 2025 are Nvidia (which is coming for the first time), the HDMI consortium (which will unveil the new HDMI 2.2 standard) and X, Elon's social network Musk, who is organizing a self-promotion operation with an interview undoubtedly scripted to glorify the platform (which is nevertheless in turmoil). The airline Delta will also present its vision on the future of airplanes, which may be interesting.
