Every year, Samsung offers new features for its folding smartphones, while improving durability. However, it is possible that the manufacturer will now be forced to offer more affordable products to maintain its growth in this segment. And in fact, it is rumored that the manufacturer could offer an affordable version of its Galaxy Z Flip in 2025.
Korean sources had already mentioned the development of a model called Galaxy Z Flip FE. And this week, this model is back in the news, following a publication from the website smartpix.com, which indicates having found references on the GSMA (the association of telecommunications players) database. In response to this article, famous analyst Ross Young (a source who is regularly cited by the media), published a response. This suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could use the same screen as the Galaxy Z Flip 6, released this year. In other words, Samsung could therefore reduce the manufacturing costs of this device by using 2024 technology on a 2025 smartphone.
Unfortunately, we still have few details. But another source, in November, also indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could also use a less powerful processor than that of the future Galaxy Z Flip 7.
A more affordable price against concessions on the technical sheet
For the moment, caution remains in order, since all this information does not come from an official source. However, it would be logical for Samsung to finally decide to offer an affordable version of its folding flip smartphone, as it faces increasingly tough competition from Chinese brands.
