Alkahest: When Dark Messiah Of Might & Magic Makes Imitations Bi

While the announcement of The Nightscarred: Forgotten Gods in our news section to be covered, here is a second game in exactly the same segment making its appearance: Alkahest. Again, the developers say they are inspired by Dishonored et Dark Messiah of Might & Magicbut also of The Witcher. We can actually see a sequence during which the hero coats his blade with a sort of mixture, similar to what CD Projekt Red’s RPG offers. Besides, here, there is no magic, but ratheralchemy, which is not really, since the system seems to be based more on potion recipes to improve its weapons or its performance. On the gameplay side, the term “immersive sim” is released, highlighting the possibility of approaching situations in several different ways: discretion, jamming or environmental traps.

You may have noticed that the trailer is just a target render: a cinematic supposed to show the studio’s intentions. It’s very pretty, but for now, it’s just hot air. We’ll have to rely solely on promises and intentions while waiting for a video showing us real gameplay. The official website tells us that development began last year and that Push On, the studio working on the project, is made up of 42 members and is located in Cyprus.

While waiting for news and above all, a little concrete, if Alkahest interests you, you can always add it to your wishlist from its Steam page.
