The French Baseball and Softball Federation is sending you a communication Géraldine GAUZELIN ORSManager of the French women’s baseball team.

Dear licensees,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we announce the launch of the new project of the French Women’s Baseball Team 2025. This project aims to bring together the female talents of French Baseball to represent our country at the highest level.

This project now requiring private financing will only be validated once sponsors and partners have been found. It will also require the involvement of the players selected in this context (participation in courses, events, etc.).

Here are the main stages in the formation of this team:

1. Open selections

We will organize regional groupings soon. These sessions will allow each licensed player to demonstrate their skills and commitment. We invite all those who wish to try their luck to participate in one or even several groups.

2. Constitution of an extended group

At the end of the selections, an enlarged group will be formed. This group will participate in several preparation and evaluation courses throughout the year. The objective is to work on technical, tactical and physical aspects, while strengthening team cohesion. The enlarged group will also be dedicated to training future young players who will be able to join the restricted group later.

3. Formation of a restricted group

With a view to international competitions, a small group will then be selected. This group will officially represent France during major events in 2025 in preparation for the European Championship.

Prerequisites and criteria
• Be licensed with a club affiliated with the French Baseball and Softball Federation.
• Be available for one or more courses and competitions indicated in the provisional calendar (to come).
• Demonstrate motivation, team spirit and desire to perform at the highest level.
