Al-Ittihad Tripoli have linked up with Juan Carlos Garrido for the coaching position. The Spanish coach accepted the offer from the Libyan club after the failure of negotiations with Raja Casablanca.

Negotiations were in fact suspended after the announcement by the Greens’ leadership of its decision to present a collective resignation and to convene an extraordinary meeting.

As a reminder, while Miguel Angel Gamondi initialed his contract with an electronic signature to take the reins of Raja, the leaders finally changed their mind.

According to a source from Le Site info, the Argentine coach is demanding financial compensation in accordance with the terms of the electronic contract he signed with the club. Gamondi even threatened to take the matter to FIFA since the electronic contract constitutes sufficient proof to assert his rights.

This affair has mobilized the leaders of Raja who, today, are trying as best they can to reach an agreement and avoid new litigation.

This turnaround is caused by a disagreement over the duration of the contract. If Gamondi, who was due to land in Casablanca on Monday to finalize all the details, signed for 18 months, the managers prefer that the contract expires at the end of the season.
