This major summer event, initiated by the City and managed by the entertainment department, will take place while wandering through the districts of the city affected in July 1825. Firstly on April 26, on the occasion of the departmental firefighters' congress in Salins, then on July 26, in the center of Salins, with a major show combining theater, choreography, pyrotechnic effects, sound and light
“The story told will intersect the destinies of several characters, while highlighting the history of the city, its region and its territory…”, underline the officials of Urbaindigenes.
“Putting the past and the future in parallel”
The troupe of young actors from Salin wanted to rely on a double temporality, following a character during the fire of 1825 and his descendant, 200 years later, in the present. “The idea is therefore to compare the scars of the past with the challenges of the future…” insists Baptiste Faivre, head of Urbaindigenes. And above all, to highlight that beyond the pain and suffering, these trials can also unite, bring together, and bring about cooperation and mutual aid.
To succeed in their business, the actors called on the people of Salin and associations. They formed six groups of speakers and shadow workers. The first will train the choirs and musicians, not only those who set the music, but also those who will intervene throughout the course.
Secondly, the performers or extras, those who play, dance, move, climb, who express themselves! The third group, “fire officials”, those who will light and extinguish fire points, will also ensure safety distances. Group 4 will take on the final draw during the Ashes Ball on Place des Salines. Group 5, which officials call “the helpers,” will ensure that the party runs smoothly.
A call to all good will
Generally speaking, it will help with circulation and fluidity of movement but also with technique, lighting, etc. Finally, the last group will be made up of costume designers. They will be responsible for recovering fabrics and making costumes according to the specifications presented by the Urbaindigènes. Of course, the troupe is calling on all those who could help and support this major event in 2025 in Salins.
The next meeting to constitute and take inventory of the groups will take place on February 6 or 7, 2025 at the Salins town hall.
