The gap with 3rd, Sébastien Simon, has thus decreased by almost 100 miles compared to Sunday evening's score, standing at 780 miles.
Further south, the battle is still raging from 4th to 10th place, and Justine Mettraux (8th) has done the right thing in recent hours by gaining two positions.
