Nearly 200 young runners and ladies took part in Gans.

Organized by the VC Bazas Bernos Beaulac jointly with the Nouvelle Aquitaine regional cycling committee, the events of the regional youth championship were held in Gans.

After Thénac withdrew, Vincent Dedieu found a replacement solution in Gans, or should he wait until later in the season?

On the well-known route of the Tour des Ecureuils stage, although modified, Laurent Belloc, the mayor of the town, received this youth championship or nearly 200 boy and girl runners participated.

10 hour U15 (minimes) 3 laps of 13.1km = 38.6km

56 minimums were at the start for the first race of the day.

12 hours 30′: Women 6 laps of 13.1km = 79.7km

There aren’t many women aged 19 and over who run regularly. Congratulations to the 11 who made the trip.

A few minutes after their elders, 20 juniors and cadets set off.

3 p.m.: U17 Boys 6 laps of 13.1 km = 79.7 km

The flagship event was as planned that of U17 (cadets) where 98 runners took the start, average 40,200 km/h in the presence of ex-pros Antony Langella, Matthieux Ladagnous, Sylvain Chavanel alongside Laurent Belloc mayor of Gans and Vincent edieu president of the Nouvelle Aquitaine Regional Committee.

The well-run race saw the victory of one of the big favorites of the day….
