Uruguay won a resounding victory last night against Bolivia (5-0) during the second day of the group stage of the Copa America, in East Rutherford (New Jersey). This victory brings Marcelo Bielsa’s team closer to the quarter-finals. Facundo Pellistri opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a header, followed by Darwin Nunez who scored in the 21st minute after a pass from Maximiliano Araujo.

Bolivia were dominated throughout the match, only having one shot on target compared to Uruguay’s nine. At the end of the match, Maximiliano Araujo (77th), Federico Valverde (81st) after a one-two with Pellistri, and Rodrigo Bentancur (89th) on a header from a free kick by Giorgian de Arrascaeta sealed the score.
