The National Ceramics Museum in Sèvres invites families to an “All in sport” Sunday with fun activities and free creative workshops, to discover the works of the National Ceramics Museum while having fun. This Sunday, July 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., come with your best sports costume, entry is free!

As part of The Metropolitanthe international contemporary art meeting of the Metropolis of Greater Paris which brings together 13 art venues, more than 100 artists and more than 60 highlights around Olympic Gamesthe Manufacture et Musée nationaux de Sèvres highlights artistic works linked to sport, the values ​​of Olympism and Paralympism.

The museum had invited the painter Claire Tabouret to imagine a monumental work for the facade of the National Ceramics Museum of Sèvres. The Big Pyramid fechoes the Olympic spirit. Inaugurated on the occasion of the Nuit Blanche, on June 1, it is offered for everyone to contemplate until September 22, 2024. And this Sunday, July 7, as part of its free openings on the first Sundays of the month, the Musée national de Céramique de Sèvres invites families to an “All in sport” Sunday!

For one day, we enjoy a marathon of free activities in the collections of this museum which highlights porcelain pieces made for the State and major national events since 1740. We will have the chance to discover the trophy vases made by six artists from Fine Arts of Pariswhich will be awarded to the French gold medalists of the Paris 2024 Games, but also numerous works created by the manufacturer!

A selection of games and creative activities inspired by the works of the Museum and linked to the sports theme, to start the holidays by having fun in the collections. Children will be able to participate in a creative workshop on the world of sport to model earthenware to the extent of their imagination. Last workshop at 4:30 p.m. – Registration on site only.

A game booklet will be provided for you to explore the Museum in search of works related to sport. This museum is worth a detour for its impressive collection of more than 55,000 ceramic objects. PS: entry is free, take advantage of it!
