Marc Marquez faces Daniel Ricciardo in a somewhat special race

The six-time MotoGP world champion took advantage of his visit to face Daniel Ricciardo in an AC40 boat race, sailboats that can go up to 90 km/h, which surprised Marc Marquez.

“The speed is completely different. Maybe in kilometers per hour it’s slower, but the feeling of speed is very strong. When you’re in it, you don’t feel like you’re flying… but when I saw Daniel’s boat flying alongside us, I realized that was the case too!”

The race was won by Daniel Ricciardo, which did not prevent the two drivers from posing together with their wide, contagious smiles.
