Yassine Bounou, who plays for Saudi club Al Hilal, said that the match against Qatari club Al Rayyan was not easy at all, despite the 3-1 victory on the first day of the group stage of the West Zone in this first edition of the Asian Champions League.

In statements made to the Qatari channel Al Kass, the Moroccan goalkeeper admitted that he had encountered many difficulties against his opponent.

“We played against a tactically very strong team, with competent players who made it difficult for us, but fortunately we managed to play a great match,” he explained.

“I thank the Al Hilal fans who support us wherever we go. This gives us the responsibility to return the favor and make them happy in the upcoming matches”he added.

Yassine Bounou still had a great match which allowed his club to win and take an advantage for the rest of the competition.

Since joining Al Hilal in the 2023 summer transfer window, the man nicknamed “Bono” has always shown his importance in many important matches with his team.

Al Hilal have never lost a match with the Moroccan goalkeeper in goal, keeping 22 clean sheets in 49 games in all competitions, conceding 32 goals.
