Between PSG and Qatar, the collaboration which has lasted for 13 years should not end soon. The Qatari owners are keen to grow the Paris Saint-Germain brand on a global scale and are also planning to achieve something unprecedented in the history of the club: leaving the Parc des Princes while continuing to inject funds in the sports section.
The Paris Saint–Germain passed under the Qatari flag in the summer of 2011. Since 2012 and its second place in the ranking of Ligue 1the capital club has always managed to secure a place for the Champions League. Better yet, the PSG has always been there in the knockout phase of the C1. Without winning the Holy Grail so desired by the Parisian club and mentioned by its president Nasser Al–Khelaïfi repeatedly: a final success in Champions League.
Qatar is not going anywhere
Worse, failures have multiplied over the years for the PSG. What calls into question the investment of Qatari owners in the capital club? This is at least a hypothesis raised by The Team in recent weeks. But we should not expect such an eventuality. A spokesperson for QSI also gave the following speech recently.
“Shareholders have just spent €350 million on Poissy, major new expansions to the Campus have just been announced, and are looking to invest hundreds of millions in a new stadium. All while increasing our investments in football, sports and entertainment, but apparently we are looking to sell.”
Qatar will continue to invest heavily in PSG, starting with the new stadium!
According to RMC Sportl'Emir of Qatar would always feel a concrete love towards Paris and the capital's club, even though he had a very special link with the city of London. The media highlights a key element of Qatar's determination to continue to grow Paris Saint-Germain, namely the numerous investments which should arrive in the coming months.
And among these investments in question, we should not forget the project to build the new stadium. Management would not move one iota. There will be no continuity in a Princes Park which does not belong to him, but rather an exile in the Paris region in a brand new complex.
